Music Project: What is Your Favorite Music Image?

Washington, DC (Billboard Publicity Wire) February 18, 2007 -- WVSA ARTiculate gallery is excited to announce that their artist apprentices are now seeking commissions of music images for our gallery opening on March 29, 2007.

Their student artists will fuse visual arts with performing arts to answer the burning question, "What is your favorite music image?" Rock, jazz, hip-hop, pop or something more exotic -- this show will feature a melting pot of genres guaranteed to please the music-lover in everyone! Capture a great musician, a favorite instrument or an unforgettable concert experience.

Do not miss your chance to participate in this innovative show that helps youth with special needs. Through the ARTiculate Employment Training Program, our artist apprentices not only perfect their creative talents, but also learn vital career and life skills. This music show will give students the opportunity to share their artwork with you and other potential customers, while allowing them to demonstrate the knowledge and skills gained from ARTiculate. Students receive commissions on the work they sell, and the remaining revenue supports the program.

Price ranges and artistic styles vary, and you are sure to be thrilled with your art -- a delight for your eyes and ears.

The gallery located at 1100 16th Street N.W. is open Mon - Fri, 10 am - 6 pm. Opening Night Reception is March 29th 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. At the opening reception commissioners have the chance to view their commissioned music image for the first time as well as enjoying refreshments and meeting the artists. Also enjoy a live performance from our musician artists in residence from Ireland.

Now you can view sample music images at the Palatte restaurant at The Madison Hotel on 15th and M Street NW.
